“I’d Bet My Career on This Supima Interlock Tee” - Sukh Dugal, Founder of March Tee

In July 2025, we showcased Varthagam International at the Yarnex Expo, curated by Apparel Sourcing Week, held at Pragati Maidan, Delhi. It was an unforgettable three-day journey where innovation, ambition, and authenticity collided.

On Day 2 evening, something incredible happened.

The founder of March Tee Sukh Dugal — one of India’s most respected pioneers in the Supima cotton T-shirt space — stopped by our stall. A name we’ve always looked up to. A brand that helped define premium T-shirts in India.

He began exploring our collection, running his hands over our Offnorth Fashions Interlock Supima tees. He paused, looked at us, and said:

“This quality is too good. This must be a Lycra mix. There’s no way you get this stretch and softness from 100% Supima.”

We smiled.

“No sir, it’s not Lycra. This is 100% Supima cotton. Just great engineering, right from the yarn to the finishing.”

But he wasn’t convinced. He inspected it again — stretch-tested it, held it against the light, tugged the seams — and finally said:

“I’d bet my career on this. It definitely has Lycra.”

That’s when we leaned in and said with a grin:

“Take it with you, brother. Get it tested. And if you’re right — we’ll do whatever you say. But if it turns out we’re right… you’ll have to get your next Supima batch made by us!”

He laughed. We laughed. It was a bold, honest moment.

After a few more tests, he finally smiled and said:

“Okay… now I believe it. This really is 100% Supima. And it’s fantastic work. Top-class sewing. Beautiful trims. Amazing feeling.”

He came back the next day too — not just to admire our products again, but to talk about business, focus, and staying true to the craft. He encouraged us, motivated us, and left us with a memory we’ll never forget.

This wasn’t just a validation — it was a milestone.
